Blagojevich Updates

Today, the Illinois Supreme Court rejected Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s motion to declare Rod Blagojevich unfit to serve, thus removing him from office.

In addition, the Illinois Senate adjourned without considering a plan that would decide Barack Obama’s Senate successor via special election.

Thus, it looks like Blagojevich will be removed from office through impeachment via the legislature, which is as it should be–the representatives of the people of Illinois should be the ones to remove Blagojevich from office.
