MN-SEN: Recount Over, Franken Claims Lead

The Minnesota recount ended today, though the local canvassing board have been given until the 16th to produce additional ballots, a solution adopted to address the highly-disturbing incidents of ballots going missing.

If those missing ballots are found, the Franken campaign is declaring that they have a four-vote lead over incumbent Norm Coleman.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Franken has won; there are 6655 challenged ballots that have to be resolved and added to the final vote totals.

In other words, the recount will drag on for another few weeks, regardless of what happens.
